Membership to the club is so affordable at just $24/per year for an individual. Schools can also join and get involved – the more kids connecting with nature, the better!
So, how do I join?
Go to www.kcc.org.nz/about and click “Join us” to fill in the online sign-up form, or if you prefer you can call 0800 200 064.
What makes Forest & Bird different?
They are the voice for nature in our communities, to our city, district and regional councils, to central-government, and in our courts. No other organisation does this. They are concerned with the entire natural environment, aiming to defend nature and bring positive change to New Zealand’s land, fresh water, oceans, and climate.
They are independent. They don’t receive government funding – relying instead on the support from members and supporters through membership fees, regular giving, donations and bequests.
They do the hands-on conservation too. Their branches coordinate and carry out restoration projects in their local areas. They’re people who care passionately about New Zealand’s unique natural environment and want to ensure natural taonga are protected for future generations.
They are behind the next generation. Alongside KCC, the Forest & Bird Youth network (for ages 14-25) is exploding in membership around the country. This is run by youth, with youth, for youth.
