Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
As so much of my photography is based around capturing the candid moments of family life, I get to practise and refine my craft every day with my family. I really spend a lot of time including them in all the shoots I do, and make it so that we are all part of this adventure. My husband works in the creative industry, so he fully understands the amount of time it takes to upload, edit and send the images, so that’s an added bonus.
The real challenge is coming as my two years of maternity leave are about to come to an end, and I will be back flying… This just happens to coincide with my two busiest months of photography. When it rains…
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The biggest challenge I have overcome is working with strangers.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I am still in the honeymoon phase of starting my business and I really enjoy every single shoot and all the editing. Maybe in another couple years I will have gained the knowledge to better answer this kind of question.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My dream is to print and publish my own photography book!
