The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
One of the biggest challenges has been turning a passion into a business and learning to trust myself along the way. Orders can be slow, and people sometimes hesitate, but I’ve learned to stay patient, experiment and believe in the magic of handmade gifts. Every small win reminds me that persistence, creativity and love really do pay off.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Running your own business is empowering. You get to be creative, make your own decisions and build something that reflects your passion. Every sale feels like a personal win. But it also comes with uncertainty. You invest time, money and heart without guaranteed results. Sometimes it means making a beautiful diaper cake and then waiting, hoping someone loves it enough to purchase it. The patience and pressure can be tough, but the reward makes it worth it.
Hopes and dreams: What’s next?
I’m just getting started. I have so much more to offer than diaper cakes. I design and hand-make plushies like the swan, pacifier holders, reversible baby booties in five sizes, towel cakes and even New Year’s gifts.
My dream is to keep growing, introducing new ideas and surprising people with unique handmade creations that bring joy to little ones and their families.
