A fine concoction infusing spiritual practice with art, Pei-Shan Wu is the creative at Earth Journey Art who brings her paintings into existence by tuning into higher vibrations. Her work provides an anchor point for people to maintain in high vibe intentions, and to manifest what’s aligned with their higher self. We spoke to Pei-Shan Wu to learn more about her unique process.
The Passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
Years ago, before I started painting, my spirit guide during my meditation practice presented art as the path for me to pursue. I was bewildered at the time as I had no inclination to pursue art at all. A few years later, I started immersing myself in art, forgetting all about that particular insight. My daughter’s passion in art was the catalyst for me to turn my hobby into a business – I wanted to see for myself what it’s like making a living from art. It then dawned on me what I was guided to do all those years ago.
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
I have always shared my artwork on social media even at the very beginning of my learning journey. My family and friends can see how my art has been developing and maturing over time. Later on, people started commenting on the energies that they can feel through my paintings. When I showed my work to other artists, they were taken aback by my ability to emit energies through my work. Friends started offering money for my artwork, and then recommending me to their friends. Eventually I set up my website and Instagram account. It was very exciting when I sold my first print to a complete stranger on social media.
Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
I think reaching equilibrium is a fluid process – no two days look the same and there’s no formula to follow. For me, before even contemplating about balance, I get in tune with my higher self. Once that foundation is solid, everything else flows. I keep my foundation strong by practising meditation daily, and using visual cues (high vibrational objects) and music (high vibrational sounds) to support me. I get up early in the morning before my children and my partner, so I have time to centre myself to keep my foundation firm.
