Natural and luxurious gift packages for new mums

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Good question! As a fresh business there is a lot to work on, but mainly I try to think positive. The beauty/wellbeing/cosmetic industry is everywhere so coming on the market as a new brand is challenging and requires time. That’s why I prioritise my family during the day, work when my children have a nap, but most of the time the big work is done at night.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

The biggest challenge was making sure that I used Australian suppliers and Australian raw materials. I knew that going into this business I would have to make my products with the best ingredients, even if it meant investing more. Because like any mums out there, I want for them what I want for myself: quality.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

I am able to learn a lot more about myself and what I am capable of. Today, I know the sky is my only limit. I feel blessed to be able to create a brand that reflects who I am. In the universe of Pure Muse there is real care about mums and women that experience birth. I am very excited when I receive beautiful, positive feedback.

Being a mum and a “mumpreneur” is challenging when I am facing personal and/or professional difficulties, but it’s part of my journey as a business owner.

Sometimes things don’t turn out the way I want so I just let it go and focus on how the problem can be solved, because there are only solutions!

Hopes and dreams: What next?

First of all, I hope my brand will be recognised, loved and trusted by women. They are the ones that will contribute to the success of my company. I will see how my company goes but later I want to create gift boxes for dads as some of them deserve something too. I would also like to produce something for babies and have a range of gift boxes for the whole family.

But my main and biggest dream is a starter pack for babies who are born in unexpected conditions. Every birth is different and some women don’t have the support they need to prepare everything when baby is born. I hope this project comes to fruition one day and can help public hospitals when they face unexpected situations like early labour, denial of pregnancy, disadvantaged families, young mums, etc.
