The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Running a small business has been both easier and harder than I imagined it would be. We have experienced a few difficulties that have learnt from so far – a few minor mistakes.
Sourcing packaging and ingredients as ethically as we can, while still maintaining our profit margins can be tricky at times.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I can definitely say the pros outweigh the cons.
Pros – Getting the chance to know and meet my customers and hearing from them about how our products have made their breastfeeding journey easier – this just honestly makes my day.
Pros – My number one pro has definitely been being able to be a stay-at-home mum and the ability to spend every day with my two kids while they are little.
Cons – Wearing all the hats. There is a constant juggle between motherhood, family and friend commitments and growing our business. Some weeks are tough, and you just do what you can.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
To expand and really establish ourselves in the Australian Market. We offer such a great product with premium, quality ingredients and it works! I’m excited to see what the next 12 months has in store for us. We are really excited to grow as a brand.
