Have you heard of The Good Fund? Founded by two Kiwi women, The Good Fund is smashing period poverty by reimbursing 50% of the cost of reusable period packs for any menstruating person in NZ that asks for help. There’s no criteria. Options start from $28 for a cup to $95 for an undies pack and regardless of what pack people buy, The Good Fund reimburse 50%.

BUT THEY NEED YOUR HELP!

All the money they use to help comes from donations and fundraisers, and their fund needs a top up. After seeing how successful a Fill-A-Bag fundraiser held in March was, Emily Holdaway and The Good Fund decided to take that further and are organising more of these fundraisers nationwide. Which is where you come in.

On the 22nd and 23rd of June, Fill-A-Bag fundraisers will be held all over NZ from the Bay of Islands to Dunedin, and clean, good quality clothing donations are desperately needed to make the events a success, allowing them to help more women in need.

Here is the list of the events. If you have clothes to donate, please get in touch with the coordinators (details in the event posts):

Please share the word. No one in New Zealand should miss school or miss work because of their period. Your donated baby and toddler clothes will help change lives: #choicesarechoice.
