The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Putting myself out there is always hard. I find myself often overcommitting and taking on too much at once. I also struggle with the social media life and like to stay disconnected if I can – it’s tricky for me as I know this is a very beneficial tool for whānau to learn and connect.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
It’s a huge job starting something from scratch, but I love being my own boss. It’s crazy running a business on a topic I am so so passionate about, as it is absolutely part of my lifestyle. I live and breathe birth.

Hopes and dreams: What next?
I would love to be able to create in-person antenatal classes with a holistic focus, and I’d love this to be available nationwide. I would also love to get my online store up and running with pool hire nationwide. We do currently have TENS machine hire nationwide, which is a good start! Someday I dream of getting a podcast up and running too, with all my birth rambles public for the world to see.
