Tender Photos Capture Mother’s Last Breastfeed Before Cancer Treatment

“I watched from behind my camera trying to record every second for her.  I hope that she can look at these images and feel happiness that she provided for her children –  not only in feeding them, but also in getting the medical help she needed to be with them for many, many years to come.”

“These photos are a symbol of her selfless act as a mother and a reminder that cancer does not discriminate.”

Ashley went on to have a double mastectomy, completed chemotherapy but still needs a number of surgeries and has 4-6 weeks of radiation ahead of her, according to the GoFundMe page set up for her by her family. While she is not out of the woods just yet, it looks like her little family is still going strong.

Many thanks to Ashley Kostiuk and photographer Jaclyn Briggs for sharing these photographs with us.

We send you love and strength for the journey ahead Ashley.
