The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
I had a concept in my mind, and it took a while to work out how to make it happen. I wanted to make the voice-recording experience a smooth and enjoyable moment for all guests, so I developed a website with an audio recording feature to allow them to easily record their stories through our platform rather than dealing with cumbersome apps.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
There is a lot to learn when running a business, and sometimes the quest for perfection can be a bit overwhelming.
I love having the flexibility to design my day…It usually starts with a morning walk by the river with my happy little dog by my side to get my creative ideas flowing!
Above all, the greatest benefit of running my business is being immersed in the world of music and stories while creating something that I love. I feel absolute joy in crafting a gift to honour and celebrate a person’s life journey so far. This is what keeps me inspired and motivated every step of the way.
Hopes and dreams: What’s next?
My hope is to keep creating The Story Collection for people of all ages as they celebrate life’s significant moments. My dream is to start a groundswell of people who embrace heartfelt communication and storytelling, sharing memories that can be treasured for generations to come.
