The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
There were times in the early days when I thought about giving up but then the boys would ask where “their product” was and it would keep me going. COVID-19 has caused a few issues and thrown things off balance at times – especially when you throw in homeschooling – as everyone can probably relate to.
I remember getting in the car one day after learning about another delay and an add expense and called my husband and said – “I think this is it for FOR – I need to stop”.
My eldest son looked at me and said, “Mum, you have got this – you always find a solution to the problem, and this is no different!”. That stuff inspires me!! I need to show our boys that anything is possible and while I am doing that, we are creating bloody amazing products for them!! Finding a solution to their skin problems and raising confident young men of tomorrow.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I have 3 amazing testers living with me so I can see our amazing products working every day – that’s definitely a pro. As for the cons, well, when there are spot fires, you are the only one there to fight them. There have been many, but each worth it! I have learnt many lessons and faced many challenges, but I have also met some absolute rockstars along the way that will be friends for life!
Hopes and dreams: What next?
In regard to FOR, the sky is the limit – I can’t give too much away as we have some great products in the pipeline. In regard to my life – to raise three happy, confident young men.
