Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
I’m not going to lie, balancing Little Sunshine Kids with my “regular” job in animal welfare and raising two young boys hasn’t been the easiest ride at times. But it helps that I am so passionate about all my roles. I am so lucky to have such a supportive partner, who steps up at home so I can do what I love to do. I also have two little helpers – my babies, Lenny and Alby – who love to help with packing orders.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Running an online business has forced me to get comfortable with the uncomfortable – for me, that is putting myself out there as the face of Little Sunshine Kids on social media, which can be very scary!
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
A lot of late nights, mum guilt and worrying about finances comes with the territory unfortunately, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Little Sunshine Kids is my third baby and watching it grow is just so satisfying.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I’m always looking for new and exciting ways to expand and improve. For now, all I can say is stay tuned!
