Covid, the cost of living crisis, rising costs on everything and the constant talk of recession have all been big factors and ones we are yet to overcome. But we’re in the same boat as everyone else so our challenges certainly aren’t unique to us. We’re all in it together, right?
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Balance and flexibility are definitely the pros of running your own business. Being able to take the time when we need it is hugely valuable for us as a family. The cons can vary – with flexibility comes uncertainly around income. One month can be a big one but then that might be immediately followed by a quiet month, so you’ve got to constantly manage that situation and take the good with the bad. Holidays can also be tricky as technically, when running your own business, you never ‘switch off’.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
