Finding the beauty in everyday: Easter with the kids

Sometimes living in the moment can give you an even better experience than the idea you originally had for the day. There were so many learning outcomes from this experience – we counted leaves, learned about textures – chestnut shells are spiky, and tastes – fresh pears yum!

We weren’t crafting up a storm, or going to the latest amusement park. We didn’t have any exciting toys or the latest iPhone, but we were being in nature and as funny as it sounds sometimes, we forget how much you can just learn from exploring.

So maybe next month I’ll have an elaborate craft for you all to do, but for this month it’s all about the Autumn leaves, sights and smells and getting outside exploring with your children. These types of experiences make for happy kids and growing up in a world where they are never bored.
