Learn, Explore & Prepare for a Positive, Connected & Transforming Birth Experience

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

The last few years creating this has definitely seen hundreds of unbalanced hours of work. Creating anything worthwhile takes a team of support and understanding and lots of patience. Setting aside time to reconnect with family has been an important part of this experience. It is also important to acknowledge that we have created this alongside young children, grandchildren, families, doula work and other commitments.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

We have had to learn to be comfortable with learning new technical skills like Powerdirector, Canva and website challenges. Also, the social media minefield had us running for cover – it has definitely stretched us out of our comfort zones.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The big pro of running your own business is that you have more control over content and how and when your business operates. The cons are that you really don’t stop thinking about all the things you can do, or should do. It is challenging to stop a while and really have a rest, to reset and then pick up and continue.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

We would be so excited to have many other Childbirth Education Australia Educators  be a part of our business, and for Childbirth Education Australia to be a household name and to really make an impact on the birth culture that is not that great right now.

Visit the Childbirth Education Australia website to find out more about the wonderful services they offer. You can also join their supportive communities on Facebook and Instagram.
