The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
In small business, challenges are continual, and you really do have to ride the ebbs and flows. I am finding our current post-Covid economy the hardest challenge for us yet. We are still establishing our business and it’s made hard with costs skyrocketing. Staying consistent and trying to hold our nerve during this unknown time is challenging.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The flexibility is the biggest pro but can also be a con. You can almost become too flexible. I love that I am building something for our family. My kids get to participate in my work and be present for my wins. I love that I can model to them what going after your passion is – that you can work hard and play hard too!
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I hope that one day our business could be in every pre-natal education handbook, or baby bounty bag, and be the household name for DDH. Also to have parents aware of the risk factors from early parenting and not shocked at the diagnosis, because they have heard of this common health issue in infants.
