The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The occasional quiet periods can be challenging. I always doubt myself.
Am I charging too much, or not enough? Do I need to offer a discount, a promotion, a sale?! Am I not good enough?
What I need to do is to trust in my abilities. I have the knowledge, the skills, I love what I do and I’m good at it.
As the saying goes, “The proof is in the pudding”. For me, the pudding is happy parents who refer me to their friends. That means the world to me.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The biggest advantage is being able to provide women-centred care that is holistic, personal and warm.
The downside is that running a business requires a lot of work. But that’s okay. It’s worth it, and I love it.

Hopes and dreams: What next?
The Thompson Method of Breastfeeding Certification. This is exciting.
Im currently studying (more study, I know!) the fabulous knowledge of Dr Robyn Thompson, a midwife who has completed her PhD in the oral anatomy of babies and breastfeeding. The outcome…no more nipple trauma! I will be implementing her skills with my own and taking Summer Love to a new level.
I hope and dream for my business to become better known so I can provide more education and support to women who deserve that Summer Love feeling.
Visit the Summer Love website to find out more about their services, and connect with them on Facebook and Instagram.
