Supportive Recovery Wear: Caring For You as You Care For Your Baby

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

It’s about recognising the priority in that moment. For me, my youngest has just started school, so I now have school hours to work solidly. I’m aware that when my children are home, I am not getting work done so the time is spent with them until bedtime when I can work again if needed. For Mum, being a private practising midwife, she works on the business whenever she isn’t catching babies at homebirths. Her clients and their births are her priority.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

Finding a manufacturer to make a product design that isn’t like anything that’s out there was tricky. Factories prefer to produce something that is similar to their current designs so finding that manufacturer that was willing to branch out and try something new was the biggest challenge so far.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The benefit of running your own business is doing something you chose to do and want to do. The downside is all the extra work and hours that you can’t just forget about until Monday 9am. The business is constantly on your mind.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

We hope to keep finding solutions to simplify motherhood. Raising children is quite hard, so if something like easy, effective recovery wear can mean less problems and less gym time then I’m happy.
