What do you find the most challenging?
The act of photographing my clients is never a challenge. The most challenging part of my job is finding uninterrupted time to be present during the editing process. I find it difficult between changing diapers, nursing babies, feeding mouths, and just being a wife and mother of three in general. I catch myself getting frustrated with my children and needing to ground myself, repeating the mantra to surrender to the present moment. Self care is something critical to my well being (and everyone’s well being!), something I learned from a dear friend of mine, Nova (of honeyandsageco.com). I can always feel when I’ve worked a bit too hard and need to take a break from the expectations I’ve set for myself. I am blessed to have wonderful clients who don’t mind my taking several weeks to get their gallery sent over.
