Holistic Sleep Support that Empowers You to Trust Your Instincts

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The pros are the total flexibility, control over all aspects of design and direction, creative freedom, being able to operate under my own opinions and knowledge, building something from the ground up, and the best part: the daily messages from parents saying thank you for validating and supporting them when they haven’t had anyone else in their corner.

The cons are always having to be switched on, fitting work around children which means zero time off, having to learn everything from the ground up, being the sole person responsible for everything, and not being able to forward abusive messages onto someone higher up!

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I’ve just launched an initiative – the kind program – to provide free-of-charge sleep support to at-risk families, Indigenous families and those experiencing financial hardship. The plan is to build this up, bringing other sleep professionals on board to create a network for families in need of support that can be accessed from anywhere in the world. I have also just launched a weaning guide, and in the works is a newborn guide to support parents through the fourth trimester so they don’t have to hear the phrase “drowsy but awake”. I’ve got professional development on the cards with some furthering education, and I will continue to build a supportive community of parents to normalise and hold space for everything infant sleep, mental health and development.
